Lightbulb

I drive about 50 miles on I-275 Mon-Fri. The speed limit varies between 60 & 65. For the past few months I've pegged the cruise control at 65 in order to increase mileage a little bit (used to set it at 75), so part of the time I'm 5 miles over and others I'm right at the speed limit.

I'm one of the slowest cars on the road. Drivers are not interested in conserving fuel or slowing the revenue stream to Jihadists. Even though we complain a lot, I conclude gas prices are not too high.

No?

The price of gas is not too high, it's the taxes.

My field engineer quit so I am commuting between Durham and Cincinnati. Prices of gas vary .20 to .25 between states. WV is the worst.

Filled up my truck yesterday.
Price was $1.99 a gallon ($1.89 with my 10 cents off a gallon card)
Went out today and it was $2.39 a gallon

About $5.50 difference on the fillup.

And rising.

Here is some interesting information. Gas prices from around the world. Looks like Sean Pa is paying the highest prices!

The price of gas in Venezuela is staggering.

From the article:

?The Swedish government is working with carmakers Saab and Volvo to develop cars and Lorries that burn ethanol and other biofuels.?

In the US conservatives believe industry will solve these problems while the liberals believe it?s the responsibility of the government.

Industry = Better return on my investments
Government = Higher taxes

As General Motors owns Saab and Ford owns Volvo I think we just let Swedish Socialism fund this for us

Oh one other thing, last time I filled up my main mode of transportation I finally went over the $12.00 mark. If we don?t go on any long trips over the weekend I am averaging $16.00 a week. That?s with a 24 mile round trip 5 times a week.

Don?t like the price of gas, get out of that 4 wheel cage and enjoy your commute. During the winter I am averaging 18 miles to a gallon driving my truck to work and from April through October I am averaging 42 miles to a gallon

I average about 25 mpg in my 16 yr old convertible. Even so I try to consolidate trips when running errands, not back-track any if I don't have to. Sometimes on Sundays I won't drive anywhere at all but take my bike if I want to go out somewhere close. But the past couple of months the beach has been too tempting both Saturdays and Sundays so I have been driving both days....
